Volumes of Love: We Get By With a Little Help From Our Friends

With most of our guests gone on the first couple shuttle/trolley runs, our wedding party and parents were left to take some group shots.  There were tons that Greg took, so I’ll just show some of my favorites.

We knew we wanted a bunch in front of the bridge since it was almost an icon of our wedding, so we did our family shots and wedding party shots in front of it.The jump shot was a must, and it was a lot of fun.  I laugh every time I look at BIL Library and Best Man K.  BIL Library is almost jumping over his head! This is the photo we took originally, and then it turned immediately into this…Bird bearer A turned around, saw us kissing, and said, “EEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW!”  We all burst out laughing!  I love this photo! We love our parents.  There was so much to thank them for for the wedding, and, oh, the rest of our lives. The newly improved Library squad! The newly improved other side of the Library squad! This is my absolute favorite wedding party shot.  A few of our members were sitting on the railings, and when I saw them, I asked the photographer if we could do some shots like that.  He then told everyone at our last photo meeting that he was a genius for coming up with this set up.  Hmmm… funny how we seem to remember it differently…

After most of the formal shots were done, I changed my mind about having our wedding party attend the cocktail hour.  While I had originally asked them not to go in to keep everyone together for our grand entrance, we were going through photos pretty quickly and they were hungry and thirsty.  I also wanted some alone time with Mr. Library, so I explained it to both sides of the party while the photographer got some last shots of everyone together.Best. Picture. EVER!

Our wedding party and moms got into their assigned cars (yes, I had assigned cars to people to make sure no one was without a seat or left behind) and our dads stayed with us so that we could, you know, get back to the reception.

It was also time for some individual pictures of Mr. Library and I.
