Volumes of Love: Living Dress Up

No more playing dress up.  This time, it was for real.

It was time to put on my dress.Greg, our photographer, said that I should choose who I wanted to put me into my dress.  Well, everyone!  Why would I want to pick people?  In the end, it was decided that Sister Library and Mom Library would take the lead, which makes total sense.  And that’s what I thought was happening.  Until I saw the photos.I guess the rest of my ladies put me into the dress first and then Mom Library and Sister Library zipped me in and straightened me out.  I love that everyone was involved because they all matter that much to me.Thanks to the fake buttons, all we had to do to get me into this baby was zip! With my beautiful dress on, it was time to look at myself.  I hadn’t had that moment of “Hey, I’m getting married TODAY!” yet, but when I looked into the mirror, it all hit me like a really really good ton of bricks.  I think it hit Mom Library too. When in doubt, fan it out.

I still needed to finish putting on makeup, so we moved me into the living room.  It was a team effort to move me around that day.Thank goodness for Sister Library.  She knows how to work her magic when I become makeup inept.

We did final checks and put on some final touches.  I of course needed my garter that Judy had been so incredibly nice to make for me,shoes were put on (the last time people put my shoes on for me was when I was little!  Or just very very sick… which I don’t remember either…),necklaces were put on, as well as my “something borrowed,”and mints were popped. After handing out everyone’s bouquets, it was time for the ladies to take the spotlight and do some formal pictures!

Walk me through this:

Our bridal party began to come together!

We did as UPS does!

We’re cat-walking baby!

We practiced eating!

Our wedding gets Jewish!

The girls and I have a slumber party!

I fell in love with a poet.

Mr. Library runs around.

Wake up call!

Christmas in July

Hairscapades abound

Making us up as we go

The Groom Squad strikes back

Magical flowers

We get the deets.
